Conscious Combat Club
Conscious Combat Club (CCC) is an inclusive, safe, welcoming, and affordable environment for women to engage in movement. As an Australian first, our innovative program was established in response to gender-based violence, particularly against women.
Specifically designed by psychologists and sports scientists, and grounded in research, our program helps women living with trauma reclaim their bodies, confidence, and strength through trauma-informed martial arts.
We employ an intersectional framework, with a strong emphasis on enhancing access for LGBTIQA+ women, women facing financial challenges, and women with disabilities. We proudly invite all women, including trans women and gender-diverse individuals who identify with womanhood, to join CCC.
CCC is a registered charity with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) endorsement, allowing donations to be tax-deductible and supporting our mission to break the cycle of gender-based violence through community-driven recovery and prevention.
Rounds for Respect (R4R) is an annual peer-to-peer fundraiser founded by CCC in 2024. Participants commit to completing one round of jiu-jitsu, kickboxing or non-martial movement (such as crossfit) for every woman lost to violence in Australia during the year, raising funds to support CCC's mission.
In its inaugural year, Rounds for Respect saw 101 participants in Melbourne and attracted 623 donors across events in Melbourne and Brisbane. Last year we had 142 participants and raised $60,359.
In 2026 our goal is to raise $80,000.
