I acknowledge that this program is for professional development and learning. Although I may have experienced trauma, this course will not be an intervention for my own individual healing. Talking and learning about trauma can be triggering.
I acknowledge that completion of this course will not qualify me for any level of professional development points nor any formal accreditation. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to remain within my scope while teaching trauma informed martial arts classes. That is, trauma informed martial arts do not constitute therapy and my clients should understand that martial arts are an adjunct to therapy. Further, I should never give any advice that is outside my scope of practice.
I understand the instructions are intended only as guidance and it is my responsibility to set up my practice space safely. I therefore take full responsibility to adjust my practice to my own limitations to ensure that no personal injury occurs. Accordingly, I hereby assume full risk for any injury or loss I may suffer whilst practicing kickboxing, stretching and related activities and waive any claim that I might have at any time for any injury or loss of any sort against The Fight Back Project, it's partners and teachers.
